Mahjong. Do you even know what that means? It means Sparrow in Chinese. There are several theories on who created this game but no one knows for sure. Now when I hear the myths about things I usually like to believe the one that sounds the coolest so my favorite story about the game is that Confucius the great Chinese philosopher invented this game and named it Sparrow or Mahjong for his love of birds. There are also several other references in the game to Confucius but I will leave that to you to research. This game is actually Majohng Solitaire, and it is a one person game where you strategically match tiles until there are no more on the board. There are other variations of this game (like the original) that is similar to western poker. Those were banned by China in 1949 but made legal again in the 80's but minus the gambling. There are a lot of different looks to Mahjong games and I will do my best to get as many as I can but this one wins the prize for being the first on this website. I give this fun game 7 out of 10 laughs. Enjoy!!
